To My Wonderful Customers:
Thank you so much for all of your support in the years that I opened
Cake in the Box. Most of you know that on December 18, 2010, my
mother suffered a stroke that left her partially paralyzed on her
right side. Due to our” wonderful” health care system, my mother was
denied any health care coverage for 2 years from the date of her
stroke. I have been my mother’s primary caregiver since she was
released from Emory on Feb. 13, 2011. In March of 2011, I had to
close my physically location to stay home and care for my mother.
Some of you have called and asked for cakes. I must inform you that I
will no longer be able to provide cakes for you. While taking care of
my mother, it has caused a lot of stress and health problems for me
now. I must now take my health and well being and put it first.
If you are still in need of allergy free and nut free cakes, Natalie,
my former store manager has all of my recipes and is a former Wilton
cake instructor. She has decided to take on the challenge of creating
